The reason to visit is the museum attached to it. The holdings run to roughly eighty icons dating between the fifteenth and nineteenth centuries, drawn from the Cretan school, from workshops around the Bay of Kotor and from Italian painters working in the tradition, alongside portraits of prominent figures from the local Serbian community. It is a small, quiet set of rooms and rarely busy, which is unusual for anything this central.
